Question 1

Will this work with every airline’s in-flight entertainment system?

Accepted Answer

It works with any system that has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, which covers nearly all major airlines. However, a few reviewers noted that some newer plane screens use a dual-prong connector—in that case, you’ll need a separate adapter. For the vast majority of flights, you just plug it in, hold the button until it blinks, and pair your AirPods within seconds. Reddit travelers consistently call it the most reliable option in this price range.

Question 2

Can I connect my AirPods and my partner’s Sony headphones at the same time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, that’s actually the top reason people buy this. It supports two Bluetooth connections simultaneously, so you and a travel companion can watch the same movie without fighting over one adapter. Just pair the first device, then double-press the button and pair the second. Many TikTok reviews show couples using it exactly this way on long-haul flights.

Question 3

Is there any audio delay when watching TV or movies?

Accepted Answer

For most users, the delay is imperceptible during normal video watching and flights. However, a handful of reviews mention slight lip-sync lag on older TVs. This adapter uses standard Bluetooth 5.3 codecs, not specialized low-latency codecs like aptX-LL, so it’s not ideal for gaming or live sports where perfect sync matters. If you’re a gamer, we recommend checking out models like the Avantree Oasis instead.

Question 4

How long does the battery actually last, and does it charge while in use?

Accepted Answer

Real-world usage gives you about 10–12 hours, which covers most international flights and several nights of home TV watching. One frequent complaint is that the battery light stays green until it’s nearly dead—so don’t rely on it blindly. Yes, you can charge it while using it, which is great for binge sessions, though the short included cable makes this a bit awkward if the port is far away.

Question 5

What if it doesn’t work with my TV or headphones?

Accepted Answer

This is the most common pre-purchase anxiety, and here’s the honest answer—almost everybody who follows the quick-start guide gets it working on the first try. If your TV only has RCA (red/white) audio out, you’ll need a 3.5mm-to-RCA adapter (sold separately). For everything else, from car stereos to home soundbars, it pairs cleanly. Return policies are straightforward with most sellers, so you have a safety net. As one YouTube reviewer put it, “Worked with everything I threw at it, including my 15-year-old car.”
