Question 1

Is the Dreamegg loud and powerful enough to block out talking or street noise?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely. This is one of its most praised features. Many users on TikTok and Reddit are surprised by how robust the sound is for such a compact device. On the higher volume settings, it effectively masks common disturbances like household conversations, traffic, or apartment noise, making it great for open-plan offices or city living.

Question 2

How long does the battery really last, and can I use it while charging?

Accepted Answer

The battery life is a major highlight. Based on extensive user feedback, on a medium volume with a steady sound, you can expect 12-16 hours of continuous playtime. You can also use it while it's plugged in, which is perfect for all-night use in a nursery or bedside table without draining the battery.

Question 3

I've heard the timer light can be bright. Is it disruptive in a dark room?

Accepted Answer

This is a common note from some users. The small LED that shows the timer setting can be noticeable in a pitch-black room. It's a minor issue for most, but if you or your baby are very light-sensitive, a tiny piece of opaque tape (like electrical tape) over the light is a simple, popular fix mentioned in many reviews.

Question 4

Who is this noise machine best suited for, and who might want to look elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

The Dreamegg is perfect for parents, travelers, and anyone who values portability, simplicity, and great core sound. If you need a machine to move from room to room or pack in a suitcase, it's ideal. If you're looking for smart features like app control, color-changing lights, or complex sound schedules (like the Hatch Rest offers), you might want to consider a different model.

Question 5

What if the 21 sounds don't include the specific one I need, or the machine doesn't work for us?

Accepted Answer

We recommend listening to sound samples online to see if the library (which includes white, pink, and brown noise, fans, and nature sounds) suits you. A small number of users wished for a very specific fan sound. If you're unsure, check our hassle-free return policy. We stand by the product's quality, as seen in its overwhelmingly positive reviews, but want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.
