Question 1

Is this a complete desk or just the frame? What size desktop do I need?

Accepted Answer

This listing is for the adjustable frame and motors only; a desktop is not included. This is actually a popular feature for DIYers who want to use their own wood or existing tabletop! The frame is compatible with desktops between 44 and 90 inches wide and at least 27 inches deep. Many TikTok setup tours show users pairing it with butcher block from hardware stores for a custom look.

Question 2

How stable is it, especially at the highest setting? I've heard about wobble.

Accepted Answer

The frame is widely praised for being very sturdy at typical sitting and standing heights. Based on extensive user feedback, a minor wobble can be noticed at the maximum height, particularly if you type very heavily. For the vast majority of users, this isn't an issue during normal use. Ensuring your desktop is rigid and properly secured minimizes this. If absolute zero wobble at full extension is your top priority, you may want to consider a commercial-grade frame.

Question 3

How difficult is it to assemble, and is it truly quiet?

Accepted Answer

Most reviews find assembly straightforward for one or two people, taking about 1-2 hours. The instructions are decent, but a quick glance at a YouTube assembly video can help clarify the trickier steps. As for noise, the dual motors are consistently described as exceptionally smooth and quiet—you'll hear a low hum, but it won't disturb a phone call or someone sleeping in the next room.

Question 4

What is the warranty, and how is customer support?

Accepted Answer

The ErGear frame comes with a 5-year warranty on the frame and motors, which is a strong indicator of its build quality. User experiences with customer support are mixed but generally positive for hardware issues. The consensus on forums is to be clear and patient in your communications. For faster resolution, having your order number and a video of any problem is very helpful.

Question 5

Who is this desk frame best suited for? Is it good value?

Accepted Answer

This frame is an excellent value for budget-conscious buyers who want reliable sit-stand functionality without premium brand prices. It's perfect for remote workers, gamers, students, and DIYers who don't mind sourcing their own top. If you need a heavier weight capacity (beyond 264 lbs) for multiple monitors and extreme gear, or require rock-solid stability at the very top for specialized work, investing in a more expensive commercial model might be better. For most people, this frame delivers outstanding performance for the cost.
