Question 1

How hot does the water actually get, and is it hot enough for coffee or tea?

Accepted Answer

The water dispenses at approximately 185–195°F, which is hot enough for most instant coffee, tea bags, and oatmeal. However, if you’re brewing delicate teas that require near-boiling water (200°F+), you may find it slightly lacking. Many users on TikTok noted their morning coffee was fine, but darker roasts required a microwave boost. If hot temperature is critical for you, consider a model with a higher wattage heating element.

Question 2

I’ve seen videos of water dripping after use—does this happen often?

Accepted Answer

A small number of reviewers mention that water drips from the nozzles for about 5–10 seconds after each dispense. This is typically due to residual water in the spout. To minimize this, try letting go of the lever slowly rather than releasing it abruptly. If dripping continues after a week of use, the drip tray does catch it, but it’s worth checking that your bottle is seated properly, as air bubbles can cause excess dripping.

Question 3

Is the child safety lock actually effective? I have a curious toddler at home.

Accepted Answer

Yes, the child lock is a two-step mechanism: you press a button then push the hot water lever, which most toddlers cannot figure out. On Reddit, parents appreciated this feature, calling it “genuinely prevention-based.” That said, it’s a mechanical lock, not an electronic one, so older children may learn to bypass it. Always supervise use, but the lock provides solid peace of mind for younger kids.

Question 4

How heavy is the unit, and do I need two people to install it?

Accepted Answer

The dispenser itself weighs about 22 pounds—light enough for one person to carry out of the box. The trickiest part is lifting a full 5-gallon jug (roughly 40 pounds) onto the top. We recommend asking a friend for that step, or using a bottle-strap tool. Once the bottle is in place, you just plug it in and wait about 15–20 minutes for it to heat or cool. No assembly required.

Question 5

Is this better than buying a bottom-loading dispenser?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your space and strength. The Euhomy top-loader is more affordable and uses standard 3- or 5-gallon bottles without adapters. However, if you have back problems or limited lifting ability, a bottom-loading model (like the Primo or Brio) saves you the struggle of flipping a heavy jug. For offices or kitchens with strong users, this unit offers excellent value with quick heating and a compact footprint.
