Question 1

Will this infuser fit my wide-mouth travel mug or a thick-rimmed teapot?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The clever double-hook handle design is the most praised feature for its versatility. It securely adjusts to fit standard mugs, wide-mouth tumblers (like Yeti), and teapots with rims up to about 1 cm thick. Many TikTok users have shown it perfectly hanging on all sorts of containers.

Question 2

How fine is the mesh, and will it stop fine sediment from herbs or coffee?

Accepted Answer

The mesh is exceptionally fine 18/8 stainless steel, which is the top compliment in nearly all reviews. It effectively contains even powdery ingredients like rooibos, matcha, or fine coffee grounds, giving you a clear, grit-free brew. It's a significant upgrade from infusers with larger holes.

Question 3

Is it truly durable and dishwasher safe? I've had others rust or bend.

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's made from high-quality 18/8 (304) stainless steel, which is rust-resistant and dishwasher safe. The build feels solid for daily use. A small note from long-term users: while the mesh holds up excellently, avoiding excessive force on the handles when they're holding a heavy, water-logged basket will ensure they stay in perfect shape for years.

Question 4

What's the best way to clean it, especially after oily herbs or fine tea dust?

Accepted Answer

For most teas, a simple rinse under the tap is sufficient. For stubborn residues from oily herbs (like some chai blends) or fine tea dust, a quick soak in warm water with a bit of dish soap followed by a gentle scrub with a soft brush (an old toothbrush works perfectly) will restore it completely. This is a common tip shared in online reviews.

Question 5

Who is this infuser NOT ideal for?

Accepted Answer

This infuser is designed for brewing in a single large mug or a small to medium teapot (typically up to ~500ml). If you primarily brew tea directly in a very large pot (over 1 liter), you might want a dedicated pot-sized basket insert instead. It's perfect for the individual drinker or couple who values a clean, sediment-free cup.
