Question 1

How do I know if the "M" size (0.87"-1") will fit my chair legs securely?

Accepted Answer

Accurate measurement is key. Use a caliper or a ruler to measure the diameter of your chair leg. If your leg is at the lower end of the range (e.g., 0.87"-0.92"), some users report a looser fit. For legs right at 1", the fit is typically very snug. Many TikTok users suggest that if your measurement is under 0.95", you may want to consider a tighter-fitting style or be prepared for the caps to come off when lifting the chair.

Question 2

Do the felt bottoms stay attached, or will they peel off on carpet?

Accepted Answer

While the silicone cups are durable, the adhesion of the pre-attached felt pads can vary. For most users on hard floors, they last well. However, a common note from reviewers is that frequent sliding on carpet or high-pile rugs can cause the felt to detach over time. If this is a concern, some buyers proactively reinforce them with a drop of strong glue or purchase separate adhesive felt dots for a more permanent bond.

Question 3

Are these safe for all types of flooring, including luxury vinyl plank (LVP) or polished concrete?

Accepted Answer

Yes, they are non-marking and will protect your floor from scratches and dents. However, be aware that on very smooth surfaces like polished concrete or some LVP, the silicone material can reduce friction. As mentioned in several reviews, this might cause chairs to slide more easily than expected, which can be either a pro or a con depending on your preference.

Question 4

What if the caps don't fit or I'm missing pieces in my pack?

Accepted Answer

The product is backed by the seller's standard return policy if the size is incorrect. Regarding quality, while the vast majority of packs are complete and defect-free, occasional packaging errors are reported. If you receive malformed pieces or are short on quantity, reaching out to the seller's customer service through your Amazon order page is the recommended first step for a replacement or refund.

Question 5

Who are these protectors best suited for, and who might want to look for an alternative?

Accepted Answer

These are an excellent, affordable solution for most households looking to prevent floor damage from dining chairs, office chairs, or light furniture. They're perfect for renters and homeowners who want a tool-free, clean look. If your chair legs are tapered, unusually shaped, or you need a absolutely permanent solution for heavy commercial use, you might prefer nail-in glides. Similarly, if your chairs are constantly lifted and moved (e.g., in a restaurant), a cap with a tighter grip or lip design may be more suitable.
