Question 1

Does this microphone work with a PS5 or mixer without extra adapters?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the FIFINE AM8T connects to a PS5 directly via USB for game chat and streaming. For mixers, the XLR output works with standard XLR cables—no extra adapters needed. Many TikTok users noted that switching to XLR also eliminates the faint USB hiss some experience on PC.

Question 2

I heard the boom arm can sag. Is that a common issue?

Accepted Answer

A few buyers have reported the arm loosening over time, especially with heavier mics. To avoid this, we recommend tightening the clamp regularly and ensuring the desk edge is at least 2 inches thick. If the arm doesn't meet your expectations, the microphone itself works great with third-party stands.

Question 3

Can I turn off the RGB lights completely?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The controller has a dedicated button to cycle through lighting modes or turn the RGB off entirely. This is a popular choice among users who prefer a clean, distraction-free look for podcasting or late-night recording.

Question 4

Which is better—using the USB or XLR connection?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your setup. USB is simpler: just plug into a PC or PS5 and adjust gain on the mic. XLR gives you cleaner audio with less noise (if your mixer or interface has quality preamps), but requires extra gear. For most beginners, USB works perfectly fine right out of the box.

Question 5

What is the return or refund policy if I'm not satisfied?

Accepted Answer

FIFINE offers a 30-day return window for directly purchased units, and Amazon covers returns within their standard policy. If you experience a defect, reach out to support via the FIFINE website—though some users suggest following up via Amazon's customer service for faster resolution, as response times can vary.
