Question 1

Is the "Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Edition" actually a custom controller for the game, or is it just a skin?

Accepted Answer

Great question! To be clear, this edition is a special colorway and decal set inspired by the game's aesthetic. It does not include custom software profiles, game codes, or performance tuning specifically for *Wuchang: Fallen Feathers*. You get all the standard GameSir G7 Pro features (TMR sticks, 1000Hz polling, Hall triggers) but in a limited-edition shell. Many buyers on Reddit felt this was a bit misleading, so we want to set the expectation upfront.

Question 2

I play on PC and want the full 1000Hz polling rate advertised. Does this work wirelessly?

Accepted Answer

The 1000Hz polling rate is guaranteed via the wired USB connection for the most competitive advantage (which is how most FPS players use it). When playing wirelessly on Xbox or PC, the polling rate is still very high and stable, but not consistently hitting the 1000Hz mark you’d get with a wire. If you are a competitive shooter player (like *Valorant* or *Overwatch*), we recommend playing wired for peak performance.

Question 3

How is the build quality and long-term durability of the TMR sticks? I'm worried about stick drift.

Accepted Answer

The TMR (Tunnel Magneto-Resistance) sticks are a newer, more advanced type of Hall Effect sensor. Unlike old potentiometer sticks that wear down and drift over time, TMR sensors are contactless and inherently resistant to wear. User feedback on TikTok and YouTube shows they hold up very well after months of heavy use. However, some reviewers note the plastic on the faceplate feels slightly less premium than an Xbox Elite, so we recommend a grip case for extra protection.

Question 4

Does the 3.5mm audio jack work reliably for chatting on Xbox?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the 3.5mm audio jack supports both game audio and voice chat (when wired or wireless) via the standard Xbox headset adapter protocols. There is no background buzzing or cutting out in typical use. However, like any third-party controller, ensure your headset has a standard TRRS (4-pole) connector for full mic compatibility. It works great for *Fortnite* and *Call of Duty* squads.

Question 5

I'm on a budget. Is this better value than the standard Xbox Wireless Controller or an 8BitDo?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your priority. If you want the highest responsiveness for competitive gaming and hate stick drift, the G7 Pro offers superior hardware (1000Hz polling + Hall triggers + TMR sticks) over the standard Xbox controller. However, the standard Xbox controller is cheaper and natively compatible. If you prioritize price and don't mind slightly lower specs, the 8BitDo Ultimate is a strong alternative. This G7 Pro is best for the gamer who wants the specs of an elite controller without the elite price tag.
