Question 1

Are these sheets truly opaque black, or are they see-through?

Accepted Answer

They are a very dark, translucent smoke gray. As many TikTok DIYers have shown, light will diffuse through them, creating a nice effect for lit displays. If you need a completely solid, opaque black, we recommend painting one side or seeking a "cast acrylic" sheet.

Question 2

I need consistent thickness for my laser cutter. How uniform are these?

Accepted Answer

Most users report excellent results with laser cutting. However, a small number of reviewers noted a slight variance in thickness between sheets (e.g., 2.8mm vs 3mm). For most crafts and projects, this isn't noticeable, but for highly technical builds requiring perfect calibration, it's something to be aware of.

Question 3

How are the sheets packaged, and do they arrive without damage?

Accepted Answer

They are very well protected! A major point of praise in reviews is the packaging—each sheet is individually separated to prevent scratching or fusing together during shipping. While the packaging is excellent, a few users have noted fine surface scuffs that can be polished out for display-ready perfection.

Question 4

What are the most common projects people use these for?

Accepted Answer

Our customers are incredibly creative! The top uses we see are for laser-cut jewelry and keychains, miniature model building (like dollhouse windows), cosplay armor details, custom signage, and classroom art projects. The 3x3" size is perfect for small to medium DIY crafts.

Question 5

The listing says 3x3 inches—is that the exact cut size?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the sheets are precisely cut to 3 inches by 3 inches. There is no extra "bleed" material, so if your project requires exactly a 3" square, these are perfect. If you plan to cut them down further, just ensure your plans account for the final size. As one savvy Reddit user put it, "Measure twice, cut once—they're exactly as advertised."
