Question 1

How long does the MC1270 take to heat up and how long does the steam last?

Accepted Answer

The manufacturer states the 25-ounce water tank heats up in under 5 minutes and provides 30 minutes of steam. One reviewer, however, said it takes longer to heat up than what it claims.

Question 2

Does the MC1270 produce strong enough steam for tough cleaning jobs?

Accepted Answer

Reviews are mixed on steam output: one reviewer praised the powerful steam pressure for detailing carpets and seats, while another said it produces less generous steam than their Shark floor steamer and runs out of water constantly.

Question 3

Is the MC1270 easy to carry and use around the house?

Accepted Answer

The listing describes a compact design with an integrated handle, an optional shoulder strap, a 15-foot power cord, and a 4-foot steam hose for added reach. One reviewer found it lightweight and easily portable, though another said it was a little awkward to carry even with the shoulder strap.

Question 4

What surfaces and tasks can the MC1270 be used on?

Accepted Answer

The listing says it cleans ceramic tile, grout, granite, sealed wood flooring, laminate, appliances, grills, and autos, and includes a floor mop attachment with two reusable microfiber pads. Reviewers reported using it on clothes, curtains, upholstery, kitchen grime, carpets, seats, and seat belts.

Question 5

Do the attachments stay securely attached during use?

Accepted Answer

One reviewer reported that the attachments can be finicky to put on but are solid once they click together, while another reviewer described attachments coming undone during use as a safety concern.
