Question 1

Is this teleprompter sturdy enough for daily use with a large tablet like a 12.9-inch iPad Pro?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the aluminum alloy frame securely holds large tablets. However, based on user feedback, the *included tripod* is best suited for controlled indoor use. Many creators using it daily recommend using a sturdier tripod you may already own for maximum stability, especially with heavier camera setups.

Question 2

How reflective is the glass? I’ve seen comments about the text being faint or having glare.

Accepted Answer

The included beam-splitter glass works well for most home studio and indoor lighting setups. For the clearest text, position your lights to the sides of the teleprompter (not behind you). Some advanced users in brightly lit studios do upgrade the glass for optimal performance, but most vloggers and teachers find the stock glass perfectly usable.

Question 3

I’m new to teleprompters. Is this truly ready to use right out of the box?

Accepted Answer

It’s a complete kit (prompter, case, remote), but optimal setup requires a brief adjustment period. You’ll need to balance it on a tripod, dial in your camera focus through the glass, and get familiar with the companion app. Checking a quick YouTube setup video for the NEEWER X12 is a hugely helpful step many new users recommend.

Question 4

Can I use apps other than the suggested NEEWER FancyPrompt app?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. While the included remote is paired with the FancyPrompt app (iOS/Android), the teleprompter itself is app-agnostic. You can use any teleprompter app on your tablet or smartphone that allows you to control scroll speed. The remote will only control the dedicated FancyPrompt app.

Question 5

Who is this product best suited for, and who might want to look at more professional alternatives?

Accepted Answer

The X12 is a fantastic value champion for solo content creators, online educators, streamers, and small businesses starting with teleprompters. If you need a portable, all-in-one solution to look directly at your camera while reading, it’s perfect. Professionals requiring rugged, all-day reliability on hectic film sets or broadcast-level glass clarity may want to consider heavier-duty commercial brands.
