Question 1

*Is the mouse as good as the keyboard, or should I plan to replace it?*

Accepted Answer

Based on early reviews, the keyboard is the star here—it has excellent key travel, a responsive feel, and a bright backlight. The mouse is functional but described as “adequate” rather than premium; some users found it fine for daily browsing but lacking precision for design work or gaming. If you’re a picky mouse user, many have paired this set with a separate mouse like the Logitech MX Anywhere 3. The keyboard alone makes this a solid value buy.

Question 2

*How long does the battery really last, especially with the backlight on?*

Accepted Answer

User feedback suggests the rechargeable battery lasts about 3–5 days with the backlight set to medium brightness and regular use (8-hour workdays). With the backlight turned off, you can stretch that to a week or more. A common tip from users: reduce the backlight brightness or set it to auto-off sooner to save power. It charges via USB-C, which is quick and convenient.

Question 3

*Does this work with Windows, or is it strictly for Mac devices?*

Accepted Answer

The KM100-A is optimized for macOS, but it does work with Windows, iPadOS, and iOS via Bluetooth. That said, some users noted that function keys and modifier keys (like Command/Option) are Mac-specific, so Windows shortcuts may be slightly different. If you’re a Windows-only user, you might prefer a dedicated Windows keyboard. For mixed-device setups (MacBook, iPad, iPhone), it’s smooth and seamless.

Question 4

*What’s the return policy if the mouse doesn’t meet my expectations?*

Accepted Answer

This product typically comes with a 30-day return window from the seller (check the specific page for exact terms). Many buyers recommend testing both devices right away—if the mouse feels too light or unresponsive, you can return the full set. A Reddit tip: read the “Condition” and “Returns” section before buying, as some third-party sellers may have shorter policies. ProtoArc also offers warranty support for defects, so keep your order confirmation handy.

Question 5

*Is this set good for students or people who need to switch between devices quickly?*

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Students and multi-taskers love this set for fast switching between a MacBook for writing, an iPad for note-taking, and an iPhone for quick replies. The full-size keyboard includes a numeric keypad, which is great for spreadsheets or data entry. Just be aware: if you rely heavily on the mouse, it’s best for basic scrolling and clicking—not precision-heavy graphic design. For most school or office tasks, it’s a perfect fit.
