Question 1

Is the sizing accurate? I’ve seen comments about it being tight on standard pillows.

Accepted Answer

The pillowcase is true to its listed dimensions (20" x 26"). However, if your standard pillow is particularly plush or full, you may find it a snug fit. Many Reddit users suggest that sizing up to a Queen for a standard pillow can prevent the "pillow eatage" effect and make it easier to insert and remove your pillow comfortably.

Question 2

How does the zipper hold up over time, and is it bothersome during sleep?

Accepted Answer

The metal zipper is durable for daily use, but gentle handling is recommended. While most users have no issues, a common note in reviews is to avoid forcing it when the pillow is very full. The zipper is placed along the edge to minimize contact with your skin. If you're highly sensitive to texture or sounds, you might prefer a pillowcase with an envelope closure, which is a popular alternative mentioned in social media comparisons.

Question 3

I use night creams and serums. Will this pillowcase stain easily?

Accepted Answer

High-quality mulberry silk is naturally resistant to moisture, but it's not stain-proof. To prevent potential water spots or product transfer, we recommend allowing your skincare to fully absorb before lying down. For cleaning, always follow the care instructions (hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water with a mild detergent). Many TikTok users who follow this routine report their ivory white cases staying looking fresh.

Question 4

What’s the real difference between this 21 momme silk and a cheaper satin pillowcase?

Accepted Answer

This is a key pre-purchase question! Satin is a weave, often made from polyester, which can trap heat. This is 100% mulberry silk, a natural protein fiber. The 21 momme weight indicates a substantial, durable weave. The difference is in the benefits: genuine silk is naturally temperature-regulating, hypoallergenic, and has a smoothness that reduces friction on hair and skin. Reviews consistently highlight this as the standout "value-for-money" point where you feel the upgrade from synthetic satin.

Question 5

Who would benefit most from this pillowcase, and is it worth the investment?

Accepted Answer

It's an excellent investment if you're looking to reduce hair frizz/breakage (especially for curly or long hair), minimize sleep creases on your skin, or enjoy a cooler, smoother sleep surface. Based on thousands of reviews, it's particularly loved by side sleepers, skincare enthusiasts, and anyone with sensitive skin. If your primary goal is dramatic temperature control (like cooling gel fabrics), this provides breathability but not an active cooling effect. For the vast majority, the benefits for hair and skin health make it a worthwhile purchase.
