Question 1

Is this rice cooker truly for two people, or is it more of a single-serve size?

Accepted Answer

Great question—many TikTok reviewers and Reddit users have pointed out that "2 cups uncooked" is a bit optimistic for two hungry adults. In practice, it works best as a single-serve cooker or for one person with leftovers. If you're cooking for two who like generous portions, you might find it tight. For solo meals or small side dishes, it's a perfect fit.

Question 2

How long does the non-stick coating actually last?

Accepted Answer

Durability varies. Some users report the coating staying smooth for months with careful use (plastic or silicone utensils only), while others noticed scratching or peeling within 3 months. The manufacturer recommends hand washing and avoiding metal spoons. If you're concerned, many buyers suggest lining the pot with a reusable silicone basket to protect the surface.

Question 3

Can I cook brown rice, quinoa, or other grains, or is it just for white rice?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can cook other grains, but expect a bit of trial and error. The one-button design doesn't adjust for different grain types, so you'll need to experiment with water ratios. Several YouTube users successfully made quinoa and steel-cut oats by reducing water slightly, but white rice is definitely the easiest and most reliable option.

Question 4

Does the keep warm function actually keep rice fresh for hours?

Accepted Answer

Honest answer—it's functional but not fantastic. The keep warm setting works for about 20–30 minutes before rice starts drying out. Some buyers found their rice became crunchy or hard after an hour. If you need longer warming, consider transferring rice to a separate thermos or eating it within a short window. For quick meals, it's fine; for all-day warming, look for a model with a better thermostat.

Question 5

Is this cooker BPA-free? I've seen mixed claims in reviews.

Accepted Answer

The product listing states it's BPA-free, and the inner pot is made from aluminum with a non-stick coating. However, a few buyers noticed a faint plastic smell when first used, which can be concerning. To be safe, wash the pot and lid thoroughly before first use, and let it run a cycle with water only. If you're highly sensitive to materials, some recommend checking for third-party certification or opting for a stainless steel inner pot model.
