Question 1

Will my large cat (over 15 lbs) be comfortable using this box?

Accepted Answer

Many owners of larger breeds like Maine Coons report their cats use it successfully, thanks to the open-top design that avoids a cramped feeling. However, some note that very large cats (18lbs+) can find the interior space snug. If your cat is on the larger side, measuring their length while crouching and comparing it to the box's interior dimensions is a good idea. The general consensus is it works well for most, but cats at the very top of the size range might be more comfortable in a larger, premium alternative.

Question 2

How loud is the cleaning cycle, and can I keep it in a living room or bedroom?

Accepted Answer

The cleaning cycle produces a noticeable mechanical hum, similar to a quiet kitchen appliance. Most users find it acceptable for living areas, especially since it only runs for a few minutes after each use. However, if you're a light sleeper or plan to place it in a bedroom, you might hear it activate at night. TikTok and Reddit reviews often mention it's not silent, but it's rarely described as disruptively loud.

Question 3

There's a lot of talk about litter tracking. What's the best way to manage it?

Accepted Answer

Litter tracking is a common point mentioned in user reviews, primarily due to the open design. To minimize this, we and many experienced users recommend using a high-quality, larger-grained clumping litter. Placing a good litter-trapping mat (one with ridges or holes) under the ramp is practically essential. While the box drastically reduces scooping, a quick daily sweep around the area is a realistic expectation for a clean floor.

Question 4

Is the Wi-Fi app reliable, or should I just use the manual buttons?

Accepted Answer

The app is praised for its convenience when it works, allowing remote cycle starts and usage monitoring. However, a segment of users on forums like Reddit reports occasional connectivity glitches, like the device showing "offline." For most, it's reliable on a stable home network, but the physical buttons are always 100% dependable. Think of the app as a useful bonus feature rather than the core functionality you must rely on.

Question 5

How does this box compare to more expensive models like the Litter Robot? Is it worth the price?

Accepted Answer

This box is consistently highlighted in reviews for offering exceptional value. Compared to premium models, it excels at core functions—odor control and automated cleaning—at a significantly lower cost. The trade-offs are a potentially louder motor, a less "premium" plastic feel, and a slightly smaller interior. If your top priorities are budget-friendly effectiveness and an open design cats adapt to quickly, this is a fantastic choice. If your budget is higher and you prioritize ultra-quiet operation, larger space, or a more refined build, a premium alternative may be a better fit.
