Question 1

Is this charger genuinely BIS certified? I've seen comments online questioning it.

Accepted Answer

This is a common and important question. The Spigen PE2212IN is marketed as BIS certified. For absolute verification, we recommend buyers cross-check the physical unit's model number upon receipt with the official BIS portal at [https://www.bis.gov.in/](https://www.bis.gov.in/). This ensures your specific product meets the required safety standards.

Question 2

How durable is this charger? I've read reviews about it failing after a few months.

Accepted Answer

While many users report excellent long-term performance, some have experienced issues with prong looseness or unit failure. The charger comes with Spigen's standard warranty. For best longevity, we suggest avoiding excessive force when plugging/unplugging and ensuring proper ventilation during use, as consistent overheating can impact any electronic device's lifespan.

Question 3

Will this bulky plug block the other socket on my wall outlet or power strip?

Accepted Answer

This is a frequent point mentioned in reviews. Due to its compact-yet-square GaN design, it can block adjacent sockets on some tightly spaced power strips. It works best in a standard wall outlet or as the sole plug in a power strip socket. Checking the dimensions in the product images against your specific outlet setup is highly recommended.

Question 4

Is it normal for this charger to get hot, especially when fast-charging a laptop?

Accepted Answer

It is normal for GaN fast chargers to generate noticeable heat under high load (e.g., charging a laptop at 65W). However, it should not become uncomfortably hot to the point of being unsafe. Many TikTok and Reddit users suggest unplugging it when not in use. If the unit becomes excessively hot or shows signs of malfunction, discontinue use and contact support immediately.

Question 5

Who is this charger really best for?

Accepted Answer

This charger is a fantastic fit for travelers and students who need a single, incredibly compact brick to charge a phone, tablet, and laptop (like a MacBook Air) simultaneously. It's ideal for those who value portability and versatility. If your primary need is absolute maximum durability for daily, heavy-duty use in a fixed location, you might consider exploring alternatives from dedicated charger brands like Anker or Ugreen.
