Question 1

Will THICK FIBER work on a completely smooth, bald spot?

Accepted Answer

For the most natural results, THICK FIBER works best when it has some existing hair to cling to. It is designed to thicken thinning hair and minimize scalp visibility. On completely smooth, shiny bald spots with no hair, the fibers have nothing to bind to and may sit on the skin, which can look unnatural or be easily disturbed. Many users on styling forums recommend it for thinning areas but suggest alternative solutions like creams or sprays for totally bald patches.

Question 2

Is it waterproof or sweatproof? What should I expect?

Accepted Answer

THICK FIBER is not waterproof or sweatproof. A common point of feedback is that it can run or smudge if you sweat heavily, get caught in the rain, or are in high humidity. It's ideal for dry conditions and daily wear. For activities like workouts or on very humid days, you may experience some transfer. Using a locking spray (sold separately by many brands) can significantly improve its staying power.

Question 3

I've seen comments about "black dandruff" or staining. How do I avoid this?

Accepted Answer

This usually happens due to over-application or not properly tapping off the excess. To avoid a powdery look or transfer onto collars and pillows: apply sparingly in layers, shake/tap off the excess, and style your hair after application to settle the fibers. It's also normal for some temporary color to transfer to your scalp during application—this washes off easily. Let the product settle for a few minutes before touching your hair or putting on a hat.

Question 4

How long does a 12g bottle last, and is it good value?

Accepted Answer

With moderate use on a typical thinning area (like a crown or part line), a 12g bottle can last 1-3 months. It provides an instant, non-surgical cosmetic solution, which many users find offers excellent value for the confidence boost. If you require coverage for a larger area daily, you may go through it faster. Compared to salon treatments or procedures, it's a very low-cost entry point to test if hair fibers work for you.

Question 5

What's the best way to apply it for a natural look, and how do I remove it?

Accepted Answer

For a natural look: start with dry, styled hair. Hold the container 3-4 inches above the thinning area and shake gently while moving it around. Less is more—build coverage in light layers. Then, gently pat your hair to help the fibers bind and finish with a light hairspray if desired. Removal is simple: it washes out completely with regular shampoo. There's no need for special cleansers, and it won't stain your hair.
