Question 1

How sturdy and stable is the stand during actual use?

Accepted Answer

Extremely stable for its core purpose. The stainless steel base gives it a solid, weighted feel that prevents wobbling while you type. It's important to note that, as mentioned in several user reviews, if you adjust the angle to its *very steepest* position and place paper only at the top, it can become front-heavy and tip. For standard typing and reading angles, however, users consistently praise its rock-solid performance.

Question 2

What kind of paper or items will it actually hold securely?

Accepted Answer

It's perfectly designed for standard printer paper (A4 or Letter size), which stays firmly in place under the top clip. It also works well for tablets, thin notebooks, and cookbooks. However, very lightweight or glossy paper (like receipts, sticky notes, or magazine pages) may slide down unless secured by the clip. It's not intended for heavy textbooks—for those, a dedicated book holder is a better alternative.

Question 3

Will the metal base scratch my desk?

Accepted Answer

The stand has four non-slip rubber feet that provide excellent grip and protect your desk surface during normal use. To be completely safe, we recommend lifting it to reposition it rather than dragging it, as the bare metal edges could potentially scratch delicate finishes if slid with force.

Question 4

Is the angle truly adjustable, and is it easy to change?

Accepted Answer

Yes! This is one of its most loved features. The hinge uses a smooth friction mechanism, allowing for infinite adjustability—you can set it at any angle you find comfortable, from nearly flat to very upright. Changing the angle is straightforward and requires no tools or buttons, just a gentle push or pull.

Question 5

Who is this product best suited for?

Accepted Answer

It's a fantastic fit for anyone who works with documents at their desk and wants to improve posture and free up space. We see high satisfaction from remote workers typing from documents, students transcribing notes, home cooks following recipes, and musicians using sheet music. If your primary need is to hold heavy hardcover books or very small slips of paper, a different style of holder might be more suitable.
