Question 1

Is this cleaner safe to use on my specific glass or ceramic cooktop brand?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Weiman Cooktop Cleaner is specifically formulated and widely recommended for all major brands of smooth-top glass and ceramic cooktops, including GE, Samsung, Frigidaire, Whirlpool, and more. It's non-abrasive and designed not to scratch the delicate surface when used as directed.

Question 2

Will it remove old, set-in stains that have been baked on for weeks or months?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this is where it truly excels. The "Heavy Duty" label is well-earned. Most users, including many on home cleaning forums, report it effortlessly tackles tough, burnt-on residue that other cleaners and DIY pastes couldn't touch. For extreme cases, letting the product sit for a minute before scrubbing is a popular tip.

Question 3

I've heard the scrubbing pads wear out fast. What's the deal, and can I use something else?

Accepted Answer

This is a common piece of feedback. The included non-scratch pads are effective but can deteriorate with heavy use on tough grime. For longevity, rinse the pad well after each use. Many savvy buyers purchase replacement Weiman pads or similar non-abrasive scrubbing pads separately to always have a fresh one on hand.

Question 4

Does it leave streaks or a hazy film behind?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Delivering a streak-free, high-polish shine is one of its most praised benefits. The key is to use a clean, dry microfiber cloth for the final wipe. If any residue remains, a quick second buffing will reveal a crystal-clear surface.

Question 5

Can I use this on other kitchen surfaces, like my stainless steel sink or oven door?

Accepted Answer

While formulated for cooktops, many users successfully and safely use it on other hard, smooth surfaces like glass oven doors, ceramic stove hoods, and even stainless steel sinks (always spot-test in an inconspicuous area first). However, we don't recommend it for porous surfaces like countertops or cookware.
