Question 1

How do I measure correctly to choose the right size rod?

Accepted Answer

Great question! Measure the exact width of your window frame or the area you want to cover. We recommend choosing a rod where the *maximum* adjustable length is 8-12 inches *wider* than your measurement. This allows for proper overlap and ensures the brackets aren't at the very end of the rod. Many TikTok users mention ordering the next size up for a perfect, custom fit.

Question 2

Is this rod truly "heavy duty"? Will it hold blackout curtains without sagging?

Accepted Answer

Based on nearly 1,000 reviews, it's consistently praised for its sturdiness, especially for its price point. It handles standard to heavy home curtains (like layered sheers and blackouts) very well. For *extremely* heavy drapes or spans over 120 inches, some Reddit users suggest adding a center support bracket (sold separately) for absolute peace of mind and to prevent any potential center sag.

Question 3

What's included in the box, and will it work on my plaster/drywall walls?

Accepted Answer

The kit includes the adjustable rod, two brackets, two decorative finials, mounting screws, and plastic drywall anchors. For standard drywall where you can hit a stud, it's very secure. However, a common social media tip is that if you're installing into plaster, hollow drywall without a stud, or tile, we (and many savvy users) recommend using your own heavy-duty wall anchors or toggle bolts for the most reliable, long-term hold.

Question 4

I've seen comments about the finials coming loose. Is this a common issue?

Accepted Answer

This is a minor point mentioned by a small number of users. The finials screw onto the rod ends and, like any threaded connection, can occasionally loosen with frequent use (like daily curtain opening). It's an easy fix: simply hand-tighten them every few months. For a permanent solution, a tiny drop of non-permanent thread-locker (like Loctite Blue) on the threads during installation will prevent this entirely.

Question 5

What if the rod arrives damaged or doesn't work for my window?
