Question 1

Can the Anker Prime 250W fast-charge my MacBook Pro 16” and a Dell laptop at the same time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but with a catch. The station delivers a total of 250W shared across all ports. When two high-power laptops are connected, one typically receives 100W while the other gets 60W. For most users, this still provides fast charging for both—but if you need full 100W simultaneously, you may want to consider two separate chargers instead. Many TikTok reviewers have noted this limitation, so it's good to know before buying.

Question 2

Does the LCD screen stay on all the time, and can I dim it for nighttime use?

Accepted Answer

The screen stays active while devices are connected, showing real-time wattage per port and overall power draw. However, brightness can only be adjusted to a minimum level—not turned completely off. If you're sensitive to light while sleeping, several Reddit users recommend placing a piece of electrical tape over the display or positioning the charger away from your bed.

Question 3

Is it safe to leave this charger plugged in overnight or for long periods?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The charger uses advanced GaN technology and has built-in temperature monitoring, surge protection, and overcurrent safeguards. That said, a few users have noted it can run warm under full load. For peace of mind, we recommend not covering it with fabric or placing it on soft surfaces while charging multiple devices overnight.

Question 4

Will this work with a Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, or other gaming handhelds?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it works great with gaming handhelds. The Switch and Steam Deck can draw their required wattage from the USB-C ports without issue. Just be aware that if you're charging a high-power laptop at the same time, the handheld may charge at a slower rate due to the shared wattage pool. Many gamers on YouTube use this as a clean desk hub for their gaming setup.

Question 5

What's the return policy if the charger doesn't meet my needs or has a defect?

Accepted Answer

Anker offers an 18-month warranty and a standard 30-day return policy from the date of purchase, as long as you buy from an authorized retailer. Some buyers have reported slower-than-expected response times for warranty claims—so we recommend keeping your order confirmation handy. If you run into issues, contacting Anker support via their live chat tends to get faster results than email.
