Question 1

Are the gel polish bottles full-size, or are they small?

Accepted Answer

The bottles in this kit are smaller than standard salon-sized polishes. Many users on TikTok and Reddit describe them as "mini" or "sample" size, which is how Beetles can include 55 colors at such a value price. They are perfectly sufficient for many at-home manicures, but if you plan on very frequent use of a single color, you may use it up faster than a full-size bottle.

Question 2

Is the included UV lamp powerful enough for a proper cure?

Accepted Answer

The lamp works well for most users, especially beginners. However, some social media reviews note that for darker colors or thicker layers, cure times may need to be longer than the instructions state. A common tip from experienced users is to cure each layer for 60-90 seconds to ensure hardness. If you find yourself doing gel nails often, you might later consider upgrading to a higher-wattage lamp for speed.

Question 3

I'm a complete beginner. Is this kit easy to figure out?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! This kit is one of the most recommended starters for beginners across platforms like YouTube. It comes with all the basic tools. The key is to follow the steps (base coat, color, top coat) and be patient with cure times. Many new users suggest watching a quick tutorial online for visual guidance on application technique, which complements the written instructions.

Question 4

How long does a manicure typically last with this kit?

Accepted Answer

When applied correctly with proper nail prep (cleaning, buffing, and dehydrating the natural nail), users consistently report salon-quality wear of 2 to 3 weeks without chipping. The long-lasting durability is one of the most praised benefits in customer reviews.

Question 5

What's the real difference between this and a professional salon brand?

Accepted Answer

The main differences are bottle size and lamp power, which contribute to the lower price. Professional brands often have larger bottles and slightly more refined formulas. However, the consensus from thousands of reviews is that for color selection, smoothness, and final at-home results, this Beetles kit offers exceptional value and performance that satisfies most non-professional users. It's a fantastic way to build your skills and color collection without a huge upfront cost.
