Question 1

Can I use this on my face if I have oily or acne-prone skin?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's formulated to be non-comedogenic and suitable for both face and body — but many TikTok and Reddit users with oily or acne-prone skin note it can feel heavy on the face. If your skin leans oily, consider patch-testing first or trying CeraVe's lighter Daily Moisturizing Lotion for daytime use.

Question 2

Is it thick and greasy, or does it absorb quickly?

Accepted Answer

It's a rich, velvety cream rather than a lightweight lotion, but most users report it absorbs fast without a greasy or sticky residue. That said, several reviewers mention it can feel heavy in humid weather or on oily skin — a little goes a long way, so start with a thin layer.

Question 3

Is the tub hygienic, and does it come with a pump?

Accepted Answer

The 19 oz size comes in an open jar, which some users find unhygienic for dipping fingers. A popular workaround mentioned across social media is decanting it into a pump bottle or using a small spatula — the cream itself stays stable and is easy to scoop.

Question 4

Will this work for very dry skin or eczema, especially in winter?

Accepted Answer

It's a favorite among eczema-prone and sensitive-skin users and holds the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance, thanks to its ceramides and hyaluronic acid. For severely dry skin in harsh winters, some users layer it with an ointment for extra occlusion — but for most, it delivers solid 24-hour hydration.

Question 5

Is it really fragrance-free, and is it worth the price for the large tub?

Accepted Answer

Yes — it's fragrance-free, oil-free, and hypoallergenic, though a few users notice a faint natural scent from the ingredients themselves. As for value, the 19 oz tub lasts months and is widely praised as a budget-friendly, dermatologist-developed staple, making it a strong pick if you want one cream for face, body, and hands.
