Question 1

Will this mat stay flat on my kitchen floor, or will the edges curl?

Accepted Answer

Most users find it lays flat straight out of the box, especially if unrolled and left for a few hours. However, some TikTok reviews mention the corners may start curling after a month or two—especially in high-humidity areas like under a sink. Placing heavy furniture on the edges or using double-sided tape can help keep it in place.

Question 2

Is the cushioning really 3/4 inch thick, and does it hold up over time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is 3/4 inch when new. Many buyers report excellent comfort for the first month, but the mat does compress with daily use. If you stand for long shifts (8+ hours), you might notice it feeling thinner after a few weeks. For lighter use (3–5 hours a day), it remains supportive much longer. Some users with chronic back pain have upgraded to thicker options.

Question 3

Can I cut this mat to fit a smaller space without ruining it?

Accepted Answer

You can trim it with a utility knife or sharp scissors, but be aware that the exposed edge may fray or curl over time. If you need a perfect fit for a tight area like under a sink, consider measuring twice and cutting slowly. The factory edges are the most durable.

Question 4

Is the mat truly waterproof and easy to clean?

Accepted Answer

The rubber backing is water-resistant, and the top surface handles spills well if wiped immediately. However, the textured design can trap dirt and develop permanent stains from coffee, wine, or grease. Many users recommend rinsing it with a hose or wiping with a damp cloth—avoid putting it in a washing machine.

Question 5

Does this mat slide around on tile or hardwood floors?

Accepted Answer

The bottom has a non-slip grip that works well on most surfaces when new. Over time, dust and moisture can reduce grip. A few reviewers on Reddit noted it slides slightly on smooth tile, especially in busy kitchens. Placing it over a dry, clean floor helps, and adding a non-slip rug pad underneath solves the issue completely.
