Are these shoes really walkable, or do they feel like cleats on ax ice?**

They are genuinely walkable for everyday errands. The key is the recessed 2-bolt design and the recessed cleat placement—the cleat sits inside the sole, so it doesn't make contact with the ground. The rubber outer sole provides decent traction on pavement and dirt. That said, we and many users advise caution on smooth, wet surfaces like tile or polished concrete, where the rubber can be a bit slippery.
