Question 1

Will these packing cubes fit in my specific carry-on luggage?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The set is designed to fit standard carry-ons from popular brands like Away, Samsonite, and Travelpro. The variety of sizes lets you Tetris them into most suitcases. A common tip from users is to lay the largest cube flat at the bottom of your suitcase first for the best fit.

Question 2

How durable are they, especially the zippers?

Accepted Answer

The cubes are made from a lightweight, rip-resistant polyester that holds up well for typical travel. The zippers are smooth for everyday use, but as some Reddit users have noted, they can snag if you overstuff the cubes to the point of straining the fabric. For heavy-duty, long-term use, travelers often recommend more technical brands, but for the price, most find Veken's durability perfectly reliable for periodic vacations.

Question 3

What's included in the "8 Set," and is the toiletry bag good?

Accepted Answer

The "8 Set" includes 4 packing cubes (in different sizes), 2 shoe bags, 1 laundry bag, and 1 hanging toiletry bag with a hook. The hanging toiletry bag is consistently the star of the show in reviews—TikTok travelers love its multiple compartments and how it saves counter space. Just note the hook is best for a moderate load; if you're packing very heavy, full-size bottles, you might want to place it on a stable surface instead.

Question 4

Can I wash them, and will the colors fade?

Accepted Answer

Yes, they are machine washable. We recommend using cold water on a gentle cycle and air drying to maintain their shape and color integrity. Some users with the brighter color options (like coral) have reported slight fading after several washes, so opting for darker colors like navy or grey can help maintain the look long-term.

Question 5

Who is this set the best fit for, and who might want to look elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

This set is a fantastic value for casual travelers, families, and first-time packing cube users looking to get organized without a huge investment. It's also a hugely popular gift. If you're a frequent, heavy packer who needs bombproof gear, or a minimalist "one-bag" traveler trying to save every ounce, you might prefer investing in specialized compression cubes from outdoor-focused brands. For most vacation and cruise travel, however, this Veken set hits the sweet spot.
