Question 1

Is this bowl a good choice for dogs with long, floppy ears like Spaniels or Basset Hounds?

Accepted Answer

Based on social feedback, this may not be the ideal choice for long-eared breeds. Many TikTok and Reddit users with Spaniels have mentioned that the bowl's stylish, shallow design can lead to wet, dirty ears during meals and drinking. For these pups, a dedicated deeper "spaniel bowl" or a narrower-top stainless steel bowl is often recommended to keep those ears clean and dry.

Question 2

How does the "Large" size hold up for big dogs? Is it truly heavy enough?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the heavyweight construction is its most praised feature. With nearly 1,900 reviews averaging 4.7 stars, owners of large, strong breeds consistently report that their dogs cannot push or tip it over. Regarding capacity, while generous for food, some users note the water side may need more frequent refills for very thirsty dogs. Checking the exact dimensions in the product description against your current bowl is always a good idea.

Question 3

Is it really dishwasher safe, and will the color or finish last?

Accepted Answer

The bowl is certified dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. However, a small number of long-term users on review platforms have mentioned that after many months of daily dishwasher cycles, the vibrant "Vintage Grey" finish can show slight fading, and the non-slip ring on the bottom may eventually loosen. For longevity, some owners recommend hand-washing when possible, but the consensus is that it holds up very well to normal dishwasher use.

Question 4

What happens if the bowl breaks or I'm not satisfied?

Accepted Answer

We recommend checking the seller's specific return policy at the time of purchase. Due to its ceramic material, it's crucial to inspect the bowl upon delivery for any shipping-related cracks. While the bowl is extremely durable during use, its weight means it can break if dropped on a hard surface—a common point mentioned in user reviews. Please handle with care during washing.

Question 5

Who is this bowl really best for?

Accepted Answer

This bowl is a fantastic fit for design-minded pet owners who want a sturdy, stylish dish that blends with home decor. It's especially loved by owners of large, powerful breeds or dogs who "scoot" their bowls, as the weight prevents sliding. It's less suited for owners of long-eared breeds (due to the shallow design) or those seeking the absolute most budget-friendly option. If your priority is a beautiful, heavy, and stable bowl for everyday use, this is a top-rated choice.
