Question 1

Will this BENFEI Link Cable work with my Meta Quest 3 or Pico 4, and does it charge while playing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it’s designed to work with Quest 3, Quest 2, Quest Pro, and Pico 4. However, many users on Reddit report that power delivery depends on your PC’s USB port—standard USB-A ports may not provide enough power to keep the battery charged during long sessions. For the best experience, plug into a USB-C port or use a powered USB hub.

Question 2

The cable keeps disconnecting mid-game—what can I do?

Accepted Answer

This is one of the most common concerns we see in reviews. First, make sure your USB port supports USB 3.0 speeds and sufficient power (at least 900mA). If you’re using an extension cable, remove it. Several TikTok creators found that updating your Oculus/Meta PC app and re-seating the cable in the headset fixed intermittent drops. If the issue persists, contact our support team for troubleshooting or a replacement.

Question 3

How durable is the 16 ft cable? Will it survive daily use?

Accepted Answer

The cable features a braided nylon exterior that resists tangling and everyday wear. Most buyers find it holds up well for seated experiences like sim racing or movies. For room-scale VR where you’re stepping on or rolling over the cable, some users have reported wear over time—a few recommend pairing it with a cable management system to extend its life.

Question 4

Is this cable truly plug-and-play, or do I need to install drivers?

Accepted Answer

For most PCs it is plug-and-play after you install the Oculus PC app (or SteamVR for non-Oculus headsets). However, a small number of users on YouTube noted they had to enable “USB debugging” in the Quest’s developer settings or switch to a different USB port. We recommend using a direct 3.0 port on your motherboard—avoid front-panel or hub ports for the most stable connection.

Question 5

What if my PC doesn’t have a USB-C port—does this cable still work?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The cable comes with a USB-A adapter, so you can plug into a standard USB 3.0 port. Just be aware that using the adapter may slightly reduce charging speed. For the fastest data transfer and optimal performance, a native USB-C port is preferred, but the adapter works fine for most gaming and data transfer needs.
