Question 1

How many full charges can I really expect for my phone?

Accepted Answer

For most modern smartphones with batteries between 4000-5000mAh, you can reliably expect between 1.5 to 2 full charges from zero. For example, it will fully charge an iPhone 15 or Samsung Galaxy S23 roughly twice. Remember, some power is used for the bank's own operation, and charging efficiency varies, so it's normal not to get the full 10000mAh delivered to your device.

Question 2

What happens if the built-in Lightning or USB-C cable stops working?

Accepted Answer

The built-in cables are not user-replaceable. If one fails while under warranty, you should contact Charmast customer support for a potential replacement. Many long-term users on forums suggest handling the cables gently and avoiding sharp bends to maximize their lifespan. The bank also has standard USB-A and USB-C output ports, so you can always use your own external cable if needed.

Question 3

Is this power bank TSA-approved and good for travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, its 10000mAh capacity is well under the TSA's 27,000mAh (100Wh) limit for carry-on luggage, making it perfectly approved for air travel. Its all-in-one design is a huge hit with travelers on TikTok and Reddit, as it reduces cable clutter. Just note that some users find it a bit heavier than other 10000mAh banks, so consider that if every ounce in your bag counts.

Question 4

Can I charge the power bank and my device simultaneously (pass-through charging)?

Accepted Answer

No, this model does not support true pass-through charging. You cannot use one port to charge the power bank *while* using its outputs to charge another device. This is a common design choice for safety and battery health. To recharge the bank itself, you'll need to plug it into a wall adapter using one of its three input ports (USB-C, Micro-USB, or Lightning).

Question 5

Who is this power bank best suited for, and who might want to look elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

It's ideal for travelers, commuters, and families who want the ultimate convenience of not carrying separate cables and need to charge multiple devices. It's a fantastic value for this use case. However, if you are a daily heavy user who is rough on cables and needs them to last for years, or a minimalist who prioritizes the absolute smallest size, you might prefer a traditional power bank from a brand like Anker where you can use (and replace) your own durable cables.
