Question 1

Will these refill rolls fit my diaper pail dispenser?

Accepted Answer

They fit many standard refill-style dispensers, but they are not universal. Some parents on Reddit noted that non-standard pails or Diaper Genie-style systems can be hit or miss. If your pail uses a specific cartridge, check the roll core size first. When in doubt, you can always use the rolls as standalone bags.

Question 2

Are they really compostable, or is that just marketing?

Accepted Answer

They are designed to biodegrade in industrial composting conditions, not necessarily in a backyard bin. Many TikTok users pointed out that if your city doesn’t accept compostable bags, they’ll still go to landfill. They’re a better choice than standard plastic, but they’re not a magic zero-waste solution.

Question 3

How strong are they for heavy diapers or pet waste?

Accepted Answer

For wet diapers, light loads, and small-to-medium pet waste, most users find them reliable and leak-proof. For toddler blowouts or large dog waste, some buyers double-bag or switch to thicker bags. They’re convenient and eco-friendlier, but not indestructible.

Question 4

Do they actually control odor?

Accepted Answer

They do a good job for short-term use, like a day or two in a closed pail. In warm weather or if you let bags sit for several days, odor can start to escape. Many parents recommend emptying the pail regularly and tying bags tightly.

Question 5

Who are these best for, and who should skip them?

Accepted Answer

They’re great for eco-conscious parents of infants, small-pet owners, and anyone who wants a lower-plastic option for light diaper or waste duty. They’re less ideal for parents of toddlers with heavy blowouts, people without composting access, or anyone who needs maximum leak protection. If you want a compostable bag that works for everyday light use, these are a solid pick.
