Question 1

I'm new to painting. Is this a good starter set, and what mediums can I really use it for?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! This set is highly recommended by beginners and hobbyists for its versatility and value. While marketed for multiple uses, social media reviews and customer feedback consistently praise it for acrylics, oils, and gouache. The soft nylon bristles provide smooth application and are easy to clean. A common note from users: if you are buying this *specifically for traditional watercolor*, you might want brushes designed for better water retention.

Question 2

I've seen comments about size and durability. What's the real deal?

Accepted Answer

The brushes cover a useful range from small liners to wider flats. Some artists on platforms like Reddit have mentioned the very finest tips are better for "detail work" than "microscopic lines." Regarding durability, most users find they hold up well with proper care (cleaning with brush soap). However, a small number of heavy users report the occasional loose ferrule or shedding bristle after months of rigorous use, which is typical for brushes in this price range.

Question 3

Can I use the same brush for both oil and acrylic paint? Will it get ruined?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can! A major benefit of synthetic nylon brushes is their durability across different mediums. They work excellently with both acrylic and oil paints. The key is thorough cleaning after each use with an appropriate brush cleaner or soap. Many TikTok and YouTube creators specifically showcase using this one set for both mediums in their painting tutorials.

Question 4

Who is this brush set NOT ideal for?

Accepted Answer

It might not be the perfect fit for two main groups: 1) Professional artists seeking very stiff, natural bristles for heavy impasto (thick texture) techniques in oils or acrylics. 2) Dedicated watercolorists who rely on natural-hair brushes for superior water and pigment flow. This set is a fantastic all-rounder but excels most for learners, crafters, and multi-medium painters.

Question 5

What if the brushes don't meet my expectations? What's your return policy?

Accepted Answer

We want you to be completely satisfied. If you're unhappy with your purchase, please contact our customer support team within the return window (typically 30 days from delivery) for a hassle-free return or exchange. Many reviewers mention the great value, but we stand behind our products to ensure you find the right tools for your art.
