Question 1

Will this give me an energy boost, and could it make me feel jittery or keep me up at night?

Accepted Answer

Many users report a noticeable, clean energy boost, which is a key function of Vitamin B-2. However, because it's involved in cellular energy production, some people—especially when first starting or if taken in the afternoon—can feel overstimulated. A common tip from reviews is to take your capsule in the morning with food to avoid any potential impact on sleep.

Question 2

I bought this primarily for migraine support. How does it work and how long until I might see results?

Accepted Answer

Riboflavin (B-2) is clinically studied for migraine prevention. It's believed to help improve mitochondrial energy metabolism in the brain. It's important to know this is a *preventive* supplement, not an acute treatment for a migraine in progress. While experiences vary, many users on platforms like Reddit report a reduction in frequency and intensity after 4-6 weeks of consistent use. Patience and daily adherence are key.

Question 3

Is the bright neon-yellow urine normal and safe? Does it mean the vitamin isn't being absorbed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this is completely normal and harmless! Riboflavin is a brightly colored vitamin, and your body excretes any excess it doesn't immediately use through urine. The vivid color is actually a sign that you are absorbing the supplement. As one user put it, "Consider it a visual confirmation your supplement is working."

Question 4

The 100mg dose seems very high. Is this suitable for someone new to Vitamin B-2?

Accepted Answer

This is a valid concern. The 100mg dose is significantly higher than the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) and is considered a therapeutic dose, often used for specific goals like migraine prophylaxis. If you are new to B-2 or seeking it for general wellness, you might consider starting with a lower dose (like 50mg) or a B-Complex. Consulting with a healthcare professional can help determine the right dose for your individual needs.

Question 5

Are NOW Supplements trustworthy, and what about the size of these capsules?

Accepted Answer

NOW is a widely trusted brand in the supplement community, known for its commitment to quality control, third-party testing, and value. Regarding the capsules: they are vegetarian capsules and some users do find them on the larger side. If you have difficulty swallowing pills, be sure to take them with a full glass of water. The 100-capsule count offers excellent long-term value, which is a point of praise in countless customer reviews.
