Question 1

Is this eyeliner truly waterproof and sweat-proof, and how do I remove it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, based on extensive user feedback and lab testing, the Epic Wear Liner Stick is formulated to be highly waterproof, sweat-proof, and transfer-resistant once it sets (about 60 seconds). This same tenacity means it requires an oil-based or dual-phase makeup remover for easy removal. Many TikTok users specifically recommend using a micellar water for sensitive eyes or a cleansing balm to dissolve it effectively without harsh rubbing.

Question 2

I’ve heard it can be hard to sharpen. What’s the best technique?

Accepted Answer

This is a common point from reviews. The creamy, long-wearing formula can be soft. For best results, use a sharp, high-quality sharpener (one is not included) and only sharpen for 2-3 rotations at a time. Letting the pencil chill in the fridge for 5-10 minutes before sharpening can help prevent crumbling. This extra step is a trade-off many fans make for the incredible pigment and wear time.

Question 3

Is it suitable for use on the waterline or for sensitive eyes?

Accepted Answer

While many users successfully apply it to the waterline with great longevity, experiences vary. Some with sensitive eyes report slight irritation or a "tight" feeling. If you have sensitive eyes or wear contact lenses, we recommend doing a patch test first. For the waterline, apply with a light hand and allow a moment for it to set completely to avoid initial transfer.

Question 4

How does the Epic Wear Liner Stick compare to more expensive brands?

Accepted Answer

In online comparisons, particularly on YouTube, this liner is frequently praised as a top "drugstore dupe" for high-end, long-wear pencils. It matches or exceeds many in terms of pigment intensity and all-day longevity. The main differences noted by users are in the application experience; some luxury liners may have a slightly smoother, less-tugging glide. For the price, however, its performance is consistently rated as exceptional.

Question 5

What’s the key to applying this without smudging?

Accepted Answer

The critical tip echoed across social media is to allow it to dry! After drawing your line, keep your eye open and avoid blinking for about 60 seconds to let it set completely. Once set, it becomes remarkably budge-proof. If you're creating a thick wing or layered line, build it up in thin layers, allowing a few seconds between each. This patience upfront guarantees the smudge-proof wear it's famous for.
