Question 1

Can the hub be used without the power adapter?

Accepted Answer

One customer reported that the hub works even without the power supply, unlike some other hubs. The listing describes it as a powered hub that also supports hot swapping.

Question 2

How many USB devices can be connected at the same time?

Accepted Answer

The listing states the hub supports 4 to 10 additional USB devices simultaneously, and it is available in 4-port, 7-port, and 10-port models. A customer used it with multiple devices including external drives, a DVD reader/writer, and charging cables for a Kindle, iPad, and iPhone.

Question 3

Are the individual port switches easy to use?

Accepted Answer

The listing says each port has an illuminated individual on-off switch, which saves the trouble of unplugging devices when not needed. One customer found the LED lights difficult to read because they bleed into neighboring lights, making it hard to tell which ports are actually on.

Question 4

Is the hub well built and durable?

Accepted Answer

The listing describes a solid aluminum structure using the same heat dissipation technology as MacBook Pro, with over-current, over-voltage, short circuit, and high-temperature protection. A customer described the unit as having a solid, well-constructed feel.

Question 5

What is included in the box and what cable length does it come with?

Accepted Answer

The listing states the powered hub includes a USB-C and USB-A cable, with a 3.3-foot USB-C main cable giving plenty of length to position the hub where needed. One customer also noted that all cables are provided.

Powered USB 3.2 to Type-A, Type-C Hub, SmartDelux 10Gbps 10 Port Adapter, Individual LED Switches end High-Speed Data Transfer, Power Adapter 60W, USB Extension for Laptop, Flash Drive, PC and More
