Question 1

Will this 3m cable work for room-scale VR, or is it only for seated play?

Accepted Answer

Most users find 3m is best for seated or stationary play—think sim racing, cockpit games, or media viewing. For room-scale games like *Beat Saber* or *Half-Life: Alyx*, many report constant tension and disconnections. If you need full freedom, we recommend a 5m+ cable or wireless streaming via Virtual Desktop.

Question 2

Does the Syntech Link Cable actually charge my Quest 3/3S while I play PC VR?

Accepted Answer

It supports charging, but many Quest 3 owners report inconsistent results—the headset may drain faster than it charges during heavy games. For reliable charging, check that your PC’s USB port delivers sufficient power (USB 3.0 with 5V/2A+). For best results, use a powered USB hub or opt for the official Meta cable, which has built-in charging compensation.

Question 3

How durable is this cable, and will it last through daily use?

Accepted Answer

The cable is lightweight and flexible out of the box, but some TikTok users report kinking or unlinking issues after a few weeks of intensive use. For casual sessions 2-3 times a week, it holds up fine. If you’re a daily VR gamer or tend to move around a lot, consider a braided or thicker-jacket cable for added longevity.

Question 4

I have a Pico 4 / Quest Pro. Will this cable work without extra adapters?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the USB-C connection fits Pico 4, Pico Ultra, Quest Pro, and Quest 2/3/3S. However, some Pico owners report needing to re-plug the cable or restart SteamVR on first use. If compatibility issues arise, check your headset’s USB settings and ensure you have the latest PC VR drivers installed. Most users find it works after a quick setup.

Question 5

Can I trust this cable for competitive latency-sensitive games, or is it better for casual use?

Accepted Answer

At this price point, it’s a solid choice for casual PC VR (exploration apps, puzzle games, or VR desktop). For competitive shooters or high-movement titles, plenty of Reddit users note slight latency compared to wireless Air Link or high-end fiber optic cables. If ping matters to you, budget for a higher-tier cable or a Wi-Fi 6 solution.

Syntech Link Cable 3m Compatible with Oculus/Meta Quest 3/Meta Quest 3S, Quest2/Pro/Pico 4/Ultra Accessories and PC/SteamVR, High Speed PC Data Transfer, USB 3.0 to USB C Cable for VR Headset
