Question 1

Are these labels compatible with my printer's software, or do I have to use the included disc software?

Accepted Answer

Many users find the included software outdated, especially with newer Windows and Mac systems. The good news: these labels are a standard 117mm diameter (4.6 inches), so they work perfectly with free online templates from Avery or even Microsoft Word's label wizard. A tip we've seen on TikTok: download the free "CD Label Designer" app instead of chasing driver updates.

Question 2

How do I avoid bubbles or wrinkles when applying them to my discs?

Accepted Answer

Patience is key here. For a smooth application, start by peeling the label from the edge of the sheet (not the middle), then gently lower it from the center hole outward. Using a regular credit card as a squeegee helps push trapped air to the rim. Some users recommend wiping the disc with a microfiber cloth first to remove any static or dust.

Question 3

Will these work on any size CD, DVD, or Blu-ray?

Accepted Answer

They are designed for standard 120mm discs only—not mini discs or business card CDs. Note that certain brands (like Verbatim or HP) have a slightly thicker hub printing area, so the labels may only cover the standard surface. If you see a thin, unprinted ring on the outer edge, that's normal with some disc brands.

Question 4

Do they work on inkjet printers? I have a Canon and an Epson at home.

Accepted Answer

Yes, these labels are specifically made for inkjet printers and produce excellent, sharp color results. They are not recommended for laser printers, as the heat can cause the label adhesive to bubble or peel. For best results, use the "plain paper" or "glossy paper" setting on your printer and let the labels dry for a minute before handling.

Question 5

I'm worried about the adhesive failing over time. Should I expect them to peel off?

Accepted Answer

For normal indoor use (binders, cases, home storage), the adhesive is permanent and very reliable. The most common complaint comes from high-heat environments, like leaving CDs in a car dashboard or mailing discs in paper sleeves. If you're burning backup discs for long-term or temperature-sensitive use, consider buying printable discs instead for a seamless, worry-free finish.
