Question 1

Will this 120W charger actually charge my phone at full speed, or is that just marketing?

Accepted Answer

Great question. For phones that support Xiaomi’s 120W Turbo protocol—like the Xiaomi 14, 13T, or Redmi K70—this charger will deliver near-full speeds, charging from 0% to 100% in about 25–30 minutes. However, for many older or non-Xiaomi devices, it will max out at the device’s supported speed (e.g., 18W–65W). This is common for third-party chargers, but TikTok reviews highlight that it’s still faster than most standard chargers—just don’t expect 120W on a Redmi Note 12.

Question 2

I’ve seen complaints about overheating. Is this safe for overnight or continuous charging?

Accepted Answer

Some users do report the charger gets warm, especially during fast charging sessions. However, it has built-in overheat and overcurrent protection, so it’s generally safe for daily use. That said, we don’t recommend leaving any high-wattage charger plugged in unattended for long periods—especially this one—as the physical size can trap heat in tight spaces. For peace of mind, many buyers use it only for quick top-ups and unplug after charging.

Question 3

Will this work with my Poco F4, Redmi K60, or Xiaomi 12T?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but with a nuance: it supports most Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco models (including those you mentioned) at their maximum supported speed—which might be 67W or 90W instead of 120W. Double-check your phone’s fast-charging specifications via the settings menu. On Reddit, users with Poco F4s confirm it charges at around 60–67W, which is still much faster than a standard 18W charger. For guaranteed maximum speed, look up our compatibility list in the product description.

Question 4

I heard the included USB-C cable is flimsy. Should I use my own cable?

Accepted Answer

You’ve hit on a common point from YouTube reviews: the included cable works fine out of the box but may not last as long as a braided or thicker cable—especially with daily carrying. If you want the full 120W speed, make sure any replacement cable supports 100W+ PD (Power Delivery). Many buyers keep the included cable as a backup and invest in a higher-quality 240W-rated cable for long-term durability.

Question 5

Is this charger worth buying over the official Xiaomi 120W charger, which costs more?

Accepted Answer

If you’re on a budget, this is an excellent alternative—it delivers 90–95% of the official charger’s speed for compatible devices at a lower price. The main trade-offs are the slightly larger plug size (it may block adjacent outlets) and the fact that it runs a bit warmer during heavy use. For students or travelers who need an affordable, universal fast charger for their Xiaomi phone and other devices, it’s a solid pick. But if you absolutely need the best heat management and smallest footprint, the official GaN-based charger might be a better long-term investment.
