Question 1

Is the adhesive strong enough for a permanent installation, or do I need to use screws?

Accepted Answer

For a reliable, long-term hold, we strongly recommend using the included screws. As noted in many customer reviews, the adhesive is best used as a helpful tool for positioning and alignment during installation. For permanent mounting, especially on painted, laminated, or textured surfaces, screwing them in is the method most users find success with.

Question 2

How thin are these catches, and will they work on doors that are already very close to the frame?

Accepted Answer

The catches are ultra-thin at approximately 3mm thick. However, they do require a small gap (about 1-2mm) between the door and the frame for the magnet to engage and disengage properly. If your door is already completely flush, you may need to slightly sand the frame or consider a different style of latch.

Question 3

What kind of doors or drawers are these suitable for?

Accepted Answer

These magnetic catches are ideal for standard kitchen cabinets, closet doors, lightweight pantry doors, and drawers. They are a popular solution for updating older cabinets. For very heavy, solid wood doors (like large pantry doors), some users find the magnet strength may be insufficient for a perfect seal.

Question 4

What's included in the pack, and are the screws easy to install?

Accepted Answer

Each pack contains 4 complete L-shaped magnetic catch units. Each unit includes the magnet, the metal strike plate, double-sided adhesive pads for temporary holding, and the necessary screws for a permanent fix. Installation is straightforward with a standard Phillips-head screwdriver. A common tip from DIYers on social media is to use the adhesive to hold the catch in place *while* you screw it in.

Question 5

I'm not a DIY expert. How difficult are these to install correctly?

Accepted Answer

They are designed for easy installation! The key is understanding the "L" shape: the magnet mounts on the cabinet frame, and the metal plate mounts on the door. The most important step, as many TikTok and YouTube users highlight, is to test the positioning before making anything permanent. Use the adhesive to temporarily hold the pieces, open and close the door to ensure a good "click," and then secure them with screws. This trial-and-error approach ensures a perfect fit.
