Question 1

How accurate is this scale really, and does it stay accurate over time?

Accepted Answer

The Homebuds scale is highly praised for its out-of-the-box precision, with many users confirming it matches measurements from doctor's office scales. It provides consistent readings when used on a hard, flat surface. For long-term accuracy, we recommend replacing the batteries periodically and avoiding moving it frequently. A small number of users online have noted drift after extensive use, which is common with most digital scales; our 20+ years of manufacturing expertise ensures a reliable product, but for optimal performance, consider recalibrating it yearly.

Question 2

Is the surface slippery, especially with wet feet after a shower?

Accepted Answer

This is a common and valid concern seen in reviews. The smooth, tempered glass surface can be slippery when wet. For ultimate safety, we recommend drying your feet before stepping on the scale or placing it on a secure bath mat. Many users love the sleek, easy-to-clean design but emphasize using it with caution in a humid bathroom environment.

Question 3

I want a scale that connects to my phone or tracks body fat. Is this the right one for me?

Accepted Answer

Probably not. This Homebuds scale is designed as a superb, no-frills weight monitor. It excels at providing quick, clear weight readings with its "step-on" technology and bright LED display. If you're looking for Bluetooth connectivity, app integration, or body composition metrics (like body fat or muscle mass), you might want to explore smart scale alternatives. This model is perfect for users who prioritize simplicity, reliability, and value over advanced data tracking.

Question 4

How does it perform on different floor types like carpet or uneven bathroom tile?

Accepted Answer

For the most accurate results, you must place the scale on a hard, flat, and level surface. Using it on thick carpet, rugs, or uneven flooring can cause inaccurate readings. Many YouTube and Reddit reviewers highlight that consistency comes from finding a permanent, level spot in your home—like a solid bathroom or kitchen floor—and not moving it around.

Question 5

What is the warranty, and how sturdy is it for users closer to the 400lb capacity?

Accepted Answer

The scale is robustly engineered to support its full 400lb / 182kg capacity reliably. Users at higher weights often mention it feels stable and solid. Our professional factory stands behind the build quality. For specific warranty duration and details, please check the information included in your product packaging or contact the seller directly, as terms can vary by retailer. The included 3*AAA batteries mean you can start using it immediately upon arrival.
