Question 1

Can I upgrade the RAM or add a dedicated graphics card to this PC in the future?

Accepted Answer

This is a key point many potential buyers ask about. This HP Slim Tower has significant upgrade limitations. It has only one RAM slot (the included 8GB is a single stick), so to increase memory, you must replace it entirely, not add to it. Furthermore, the small form factor and proprietary motherboard do not support adding a standard dedicated graphics card. It's designed as a sealed solution for its initial configuration.

Question 2

The images show multiple video ports, but some reviews say they're missing. What ports does it actually have, and how many monitors can it support?

Accepted Answer

We've verified this with user feedback. The unit typically includes one HDMI and one DisplayPort (or VGA, varies by batch). It does not have the multiple VGA/HDMI ports sometimes shown in composite marketing images. Using both ports, it can support two monitors. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 730 is sufficient for dual-display office work but not for gaming or graphic design.

Question 3

Is the included keyboard and mouse good quality, or should I budget for replacements?

Accepted Answer

Based on numerous user comments, the bundled black wired keyboard and mouse are very basic, entry-level peripherals. They are functional for getting started, but many users describe them as lightweight and flimsy. If you type frequently or want a more premium feel, planning to upgrade them is a common recommendation from existing owners.

Question 4

Who is this computer best suited for, and who might want to look elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

This PC is an excellent, hassle-free choice for non-technical users, home offices, or students who need a compact, fast computer for everyday tasks like web browsing, documents, spreadsheets, and streaming. It comes ready-to-go with Windows 11 and MS Office. However, if you anticipate needing more RAM, a better GPU, or any internal upgrades in the next few years, or if you're into light gaming/editing, you should consider a tower with a standard motherboard or a custom build.

Question 5

What does the 3-year warranty cover, and how is HP's support for this model?

Accepted Answer

The 3-year warranty is a strong point and typically covers parts and labor for manufacturing defects. For this model, it often includes onsite service, meaning a technician can come to you for repairs, which users appreciate. However, it's important to understand that the warranty covers the system *as configured*; it does not cover compatibility issues arising from user attempts to modify or upgrade the hardware due to its proprietary design.
