Question 1

Do these lights come with a power supply or transformer?

Accepted Answer

No, they do not. This is a common point of feedback from new buyers. These are low-voltage (12V) lights, so you must purchase a compatible plug-in transformer separately. We recommend a transformer rated for at least 20W to comfortably power all four lights (5W each).

Question 2

Can I control each light to be a different color, or connect them to my smart home system?

Accepted Answer

The included wired controller changes the color and mode for all connected lights simultaneously; individual light control is not possible. These are not Wi-Fi or Bluetooth enabled, so they cannot integrate directly with smart home systems like Alexa or Google Home. They are perfect for creating a unified, colorful ambiance along a path or garden bed.

Question 3

How is the build quality and weather resistance? Many reviews mention "heavy duty."

Accepted Answer

The light housings are made from a very robust, thick plastic that users consistently praise for feeling solid and holding up to the elements. They are fully waterproof (IP65 rating), and social media testimonials frequently show them performing well through rain, snow, and sun. The term "heavy duty" refers to this durable construction, though it's worth noting the housing is not metal.

Question 4

What should I know about installation and the included stakes?

Accepted Answer

Installation is generally reported as straightforward with tool-free wire connectors. However, based on user experiences, the soil type matters. The included plastic stakes work well in soft soil, but for hard or rocky ground, some buyers recommend purchasing heavier-duty metal stakes separately to ensure a secure fit.

Question 5

Who are these lights best suited for?

Accepted Answer

These are an excellent fit for DIYers and homeowners wanting reliable, vibrant RGB color for garden pathways, walkways, or holiday displays without a complex setup. They're ideal if you want a permanent or seasonal installation where all lights display the same color pattern. If you require smartphone app control, individual light programming, or a completely all-in-one kit (with transformer), you might want to explore other options.
