Question 1

Does this SSD really reach the advertised 1050MB/s speed?

Accepted Answer

To achieve the maximum rated speed, your computer or device must have a compatible USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) port. Many users report excellent real-world speeds between 700-950MB/s, which is still extremely fast. If your hardware uses an older USB standard (like USB 3.0 or USB-A), speeds will be lower but still a significant upgrade over a hard drive. The advertised speed is a peak potential under ideal conditions.

Question 2

How durable is the build? It looks quite small and light.

Accepted Answer

The drive uses a lightweight plastic casing for its compact design. While it's not marketed as shock-proof or rugged, most users find it holds up well in everyday use in a bag or pocket. For added protection, we recommend using a protective case or sleeve. If you need a drive for extreme environments, you might consider a model specifically built with an aluminum chassis for durability.

Question 3

What devices is it compatible with, and what's included in the box?

Accepted Answer

It's widely compatible with devices featuring a USB-C port, including modern smartphones (iPhone 15+, Android), PS5, Xbox Series X/S, MacBooks, and Windows PCs. The box includes the SSD and a short USB-C to USB-C cable. Note: For devices with only standard USB-A ports (common on older computers), you will need to purchase a separate USB-C to A adapter or cable, which many TikTok and Reddit users suggest doing for convenience.

Question 4

I've seen comments about it getting hot. Is that normal or a problem?

Accepted Answer

It's normal for high-performance SSDs to generate some heat during prolonged, intensive data transfers (like moving dozens of gigabytes). Many users mention this, and while it can feel warm to the touch, it's generally within operating specifications. To ensure optimal performance and longevity, avoid covering the drive or using it on soft surfaces like a bed during large transfers to allow for heat dissipation.

Question 5

Who is this drive best suited for?

Accepted Answer

This SSD is a fantastic fit for students, hybrid workers, and casual gamers who need a highly portable and fast storage solution for transferring files between multiple devices like phones, laptops, and consoles. It's perfect for expanding game storage on a PS5 or holding a large media library. If your primary need is guaranteed maximum speed for professional video editing or you require a heavily ruggedized build, you may want to explore alternatives from brands like Samsung or SanDisk that cater specifically to those use cases.
