Question 1

I have very fine, thin, or fragile hair that breaks easily. Is this brush really gentle enough?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. This is the brush's standout feature. Across countless reviews on platforms like TikTok and Reddit, users with fine and thinning hair consistently praise it for detangling without snagging or pulling. The natural boar bristles glide through hair, distributing your scalp's natural oils for shine while minimizing the static and breakage caused by plastic brushes.

Question 2

I keep hearing about a "smell." What's that about, and does it go away?

Accepted Answer

The brush is made with 100% natural boar bristles, which can have an earthy, natural scent when new—think of it as a sign of authenticity. This is a common mention in unboxing videos and reviews. The good news is the smell is not permanent. Simply airing the brush out for a few days to a week is all it takes for the scent to dissipate completely.

Question 3

Can I use this on thick, curly, or coarse hair?

Accepted Answer

This brush is specifically designed for fine to medium, straight, or wavy hair. User feedback indicates that if you have very thick, curly, or coarse hair, the bristles may not penetrate deeply enough to be effective for detangling. For those hair types, a brush with a mix of nylon and boar bristles or a dedicated detangling tool is often recommended before using a pure boar brush for finishing and shine.

Question 4

How do I use it for a "slicked back" look, and how do I clean it?

Accepted Answer

For a sleek ponytail or bun, start with brushed, tangle-free hair. Use the brush in smooth, firm strokes from your hairline back, following with your other hand to hold the style. The bristles excel at laying down flyaways. For cleaning, gently remove any trapped hair. Occasionally, wash the bristles with a mild shampoo in cool water, rinse thoroughly, and let it air-dry *completely* (bristles up) to preserve its shape and longevity.

Question 5

Is it worth the investment compared to a synthetic brush?

Accepted Answer

For the right person—someone with fine hair seeking less breakage, more shine, and polished styles—the consensus is a resounding yes. While the upfront cost is higher, the durability is excellent. Many users report theirs lasting for years. The key benefit is hair health: natural bristles improve your hair's condition over time by distributing oils, whereas plastic can cause static and mechanical damage. It's an investment in your hair's texture and appearance.
