Question 1

Does this mat actually keep litter from being tracked around the house?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Reviewers report that it effectively traps the little pieces of litter their cats drag around, with one noting it works better than a larger mat they had previously and another saying there is much less sweeping.

Question 2

Is the mat easy to clean and empty?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The double-layer honeycomb design lets you pick up the mat so litter falls through, then dump it back into the litter box, and reviewers describe it as easy to clean and easy to open and tip litter into the trash.

Question 3

Is it waterproof or urine proof?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The bottom layer is waterproof and slip-resistant so liquid will not go through, and one reviewer confirmed it is urine proof, containing messes instead of soaking through to the floor.

Question 4

What size is the mat, and does it match the listed dimensions?

Accepted Answer

The listing gives product dimensions of 24 x 15 x 0.6 inches. One reviewer, however, reported receiving a mat measuring 21 x 28 instead of the described 24 x 30, so at least one buyer felt the delivered size did not match the description.

Question 5

Does the mat lay flat after unboxing?

Accepted Answer

Not always. One reviewer reported that the mat never laid fully flat after coming out of the box and that the ends always curled, even after placing weighted objects on it as directed.
