Question 1

Will this filter fit my specific pour-over brewer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's designed to fit standard Hario V60 models (sizes 01, 02, and 03) and most Chemex-style brewers perfectly. Many TikTok and Reddit users have confirmed the secure fit. For larger, non-standard Chemex models (like the 8-cup), some users note it can sit slightly less snugly but remains fully functional.

Question 2

How does the taste compare to paper filters?

Accepted Answer

You'll get a richer, fuller-bodied cup because this stainless steel filter allows natural coffee oils to pass through, which paper filters absorb. Think of it as moving from a "clean, bright" taste to a "bold, textured" one. A common social media tip: the first 2-3 brews might have a slight metallic hint, but this disappears after a simple break-in period.

Question 3

Is it difficult to clean and will it rust?

Accepted Answer

It's made from high-quality, rust-resistant stainless steel. Cleaning is straightforward: rinse immediately after use. For a deeper clean, a quick brush with a soft bottle brush removes any trapped grounds. Most users advise against the dishwasher to preserve the mesh long-term, finding a 30-second hand rinse sufficient.

Question 4

I'm used to paper filters. Do I need to change my technique?

Accepted Answer

You might need a small adjustment. Because water flows freely through the metal mesh, a slightly finer grind than you'd use for paper often yields the best strength and extraction. As noted in several YouTube reviews, this can also lead to a slightly slower drawdown time, so a little extra patience helps perfect your brew.

Question 5

Who is this product best suited for, and what's your return policy?

Accepted Answer

This filter is ideal for coffee lovers seeking a sustainable, cost-effective way to enjoy a richer, oilier cup of pour-over coffee. It's perfect for daily brewers who don't mind a quick rinse. If you strictly prefer the ultra-clean taste of paper filters, it might not be for you. We offer a standard return window if you're unsatisfied—please check your order confirmation for specific policy details and contact our support team.
