Question 1

How long does assembly take?

Accepted Answer

Reviewers report assembly times ranging from under 25 minutes to about 1.5 hours, depending on pace; one 73-year-old reviewer took 1.5 hours working carefully. The listing describes a three-step toolless process: frame it, hang it, cover it.

Question 2

Will it fit my generator?

Accepted Answer

The listing says it fits most 3500W–12000W portable generators with a tubular or square frame, except models shown in the listing picture. Reviewers confirm perfect fits on specific models including Briggs & Stratton Storm Responder 6500, Westinghouse 11000TFc, Westinghouse dual fuel 9500W, WGen11500TFc, Champion 11250, and a Powerhouse inverter generator.

Question 3

Can I run the generator while the cover is on, and is it safe in rain or snow?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The listing states the patented suspended flap design lets you operate the generator safely in rain, snow, high winds, or wet weather while providing ventilation and keeping the electrical panel dry. Reviewers confirm using it in rain and snow for two months and in hurricane-prone Florida, with one noting it allows full ventilation while protecting from rain, wind, and flying debris.

Question 4

How durable is the cover and frame?

Accepted Answer

The listing describes a 9 lb waterproof tarpaulin and a 5/8" stainless steel frame that will not deform or collapse in bad weather. Reviewers describe the material as thick, well made, and durable, though one reviewer found the frame and cover material less hefty than expected from the photos.

Question 5

Are the instructions clear and is installation tool-free?

Accepted Answer

The listing says installation is toolless with three steps. Reviewers call the instructions the best they have seen, with clear English and good pictures, though one noted they could be better and another found the Velcro fasteners a bit too short and used zip ties instead.
