Question 1

Is this heater safe to leave on overnight in a bedroom?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely—it’s one of the most common use cases. The DREO Space Heater has tip-over shutoff, overheat protection, and a cool-touch exterior. Many parents and night-shift workers leave it running while sleeping. Just keep it on a flat, stable surface away from bedding. The 12-hour timer also lets you set it to turn off automatically.

Question 2

How loud is the oscillation? I’ve seen TikTok comments about clicking noises.

Accepted Answer

The heating fan itself is very quiet—around 40dB, softer than most conversations. However, some users on TikTok and Reddit have noted a subtle clicking sound when the oscillation motor rotates, especially on hard floors. If you’re an extremely light sleeper, try placing it on a rug or running it without oscillation. Most people find the noise negligible, but it’s worth noting.

Question 3

Can I control the temperature and timer from across the room?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but with a small catch. The remote works well within about 15 feet, but it uses infrared, so you need a clear line of sight. It won’t work through walls or thick furniture. If you plan to control it from another room, you’ll need to get up—but the front-panel controls are also very easy to use. No app or Wi-Fi is available, to be upfront.

Question 4

Will this heater warm up a large living room or just a small space?

Accepted Answer

It’s designed for small to medium rooms up to about 200 square feet—think bedrooms, home offices, or nurseries. For a living room or open-concept area, you’ll likely notice it struggles to maintain even heat. In that case, many users recommend the Vornado AVH10 for better air circulation or an oil-filled radiator for silent, whole-room warmth. The DREO shines in compact spaces.

Question 5

What if it doesn’t fit my needs—how easy is the return?

Accepted Answer

Returns depend on where you buy. On Amazon, standard 30-day returns apply with free shipping on defects. If you purchase directly from DREO’s website, they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee and responsive customer support. A few Reddit users mentioned smooth exchanges for a different model, so the process is generally pain-free. Just keep the original packaging for a week or two after purchase.
