Question 1

Will this HDMI switch work with my PS5 or Xbox Series X at full 4K 120Hz?

Accepted Answer

This switcher supports 4K resolution at 60Hz, not 120Hz. It’s great for PS4, Xbox One, streaming devices, and standard 4K content. For PS5 or Xbox Series X, you’ll get stable 4K 60Hz output—perfect for movies and most games, but not for high-refresh-rate gaming.

Question 2

The remote seems to need direct line-of-sight. Can I use the switch without it?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The unit has a manual button on the front that cycles through inputs. Many users actually prefer this method if the box is placed behind a TV. If you lose the remote, the button still works fine. For best remote performance, keep the front of the switcher exposed.

Question 3

Does the auto-switch feature work reliably?

Accepted Answer

For most setups, yes—the auto-switch detects which device turns on and switches automatically. However, some users on Reddit mention occasional hiccups if you have multiple devices waking at once. We recommend using manual switching for the most predictable behavior, especially if you have a gaming console and streaming stick connected.

Question 4

I have an Apple TV 4K and a Fire Stick. Will HDR and Dolby Vision work?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this switcher supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision pass-through at 4K 60Hz. Both your Apple TV and Fire Stick should work beautifully. If you experience a black screen briefly when switching, that’s normal for many HDMI switchers—just give it a few seconds to re-sync.

Question 5

Is the build quality good enough for daily use behind a TV?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The metal casing is sturdy and helps with heat dissipation. The ports are snug, which keeps cables secure. While it’s lightweight, it feels more premium than plastic switchers in the same price range. For daily use with 2-3 devices, it’s a dependable choice that won’t let you down.
