Question 1

Will these protectors fit my standard dining chair legs that are 3/4 inch (19mm) in diameter?

Accepted Answer

This is the most common sizing question. While marketed to fit up to 3/4", many users find the inner diameter runs small. For a true 19mm leg, installation will likely be very tight and require significant force. They are a more comfortable and reliable fit for legs measuring 1/2" to 5/8" (14-17mm). We recommend measuring your chair leg's exact diameter with a caliper or ruler before purchase.

Question 2

How well do the adhesive stickers work? Do the caps stay on?

Accepted Answer

Feedback on the included adhesive pads is mixed. While they work for some on perfectly clean, dry surfaces, a significant number of social media reviewers and customers report the pads can lose grip, causing caps to slip off, especially on heavier chairs. For a permanent hold, many users recommend using a small dot of strong glue (like Gorilla Glue or E6000) instead of or in addition to the provided stickers.

Question 3

Are these thick enough to protect my hardwood floors from scratches and dents from heavy chairs?

Accepted Answer

These protectors are excellent for reducing noise and preventing surface scratches from lightweight, frequently moved chairs. However, based on user experiences shared on platforms like Reddit, the felt and silicone are on the thinner side. For very heavy, stationary furniture like solid wood dining sets, you might want to consider thicker, heavy-duty felt pads available at hardware stores for superior long-term dent protection.

Question 4

What's the main benefit people talk about after installing these?

Accepted Answer

Overwhelmingly, the #1 praised benefit is noise reduction. Customers on TikTok and in reviews consistently mention how much quieter their homes are—no more screeching chair sounds on hardwood or tile. The second biggest benefit is the easy glide, which makes moving chairs effortless while keeping your floors safe from everyday wear and tear.

Question 5

I'm a renter in an apartment with noisy chairs. Are these a good solution for me?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. This is the perfect use case. Renters and apartment dwellers are among the most satisfied customers. The protectors are clear/discreet, non-damaging, and the 32-pack is enough to cover multiple chairs. They provide an immediate and affordable fix for noise complaints (a common issue in multi-unit housing) and help ensure you get your security deposit back by preventing floor scratches. Just be sure to check the fit for your specific chair legs first.
