Question 1

How big and hard are the ice cubes really? I've seen reviews calling them "chewy."

Accepted Answer

The AGLUCKY produces bullet-shaped, chewable ice (often called "nugget" or "soft" ice), similar to what you might find at a fast-food restaurant. They are hollow and cool drinks quickly but are not solid, crystal-clear cubes. Many TikTok users love them for sodas and mixed drinks, but if you're looking for hard, dense ice for whiskey on the rocks, this style may not meet that expectation.

Question 2

Is it quiet enough for a home office or living room?

Accepted Answer

It's not silent. You'll hear a consistent humming fan and periodic water pump sounds. Most owners describe it as a noticeable background appliance—fine for a daytime kitchen or office, but potentially distracting in a very quiet room or at night. If absolute quiet is a top priority, you may want to explore other models specifically marketed as "ultra-quiet."

Question 3

What does "26Lbs/24H" capacity mean for daily use? Do I need to empty it constantly?

Accepted Answer

The 26Lbs/24H is the maximum theoretical output if you continuously remove ice. The included storage basket is compact and holds about 1.5 pounds (or 2-3 servings of drinks). For best results and to prevent melting, plan to empty the basket a few times a day during active use. It's perfect for steady, on-demand production rather than storing a day's worth of ice at once.

Question 4

How effective is the self-cleaning function, and what maintenance does it really need?

Accepted Answer

The self-cleaning cycle is a great convenience for flushing out mineral buildup and is recommended every couple of weeks. However, for long-term performance, you will still need to descale it manually with a vinegar solution every few months, depending on your water hardness. This is standard for all countertop ice makers. Keeping it clean is the key to longevity and avoiding error codes.

Question 5

Who is this ice maker best suited for, and who might want to look elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

It's a fantastic fit for small households, entertainers, RV owners, and office spaces that value speed and countertop convenience over massive storage. If your primary needs are very hard ice, a large built-in bin, or near-silent operation, you might consider a more expensive compressor model or one with a larger reservoir. For its price point, it excels at delivering fast, convenient ice where space is limited.
